Our first outing in Oregon

Well, maybe the third time is a charm! This is the third time I have tried to load these pictures in as many nights! I did limit it to just 2 this time, so maybe that is why it worked! There used to be a Harry and David store in the outlet mall in Odessa, Mo. And we would go to it occasionally when we went there to shop. My mother got some fruit one time for Christmas, and Ron's mother did, too sent from Medford.
Medford is the base of operations for this 'catalog' business that has been in business since the early 1900's. Originally they dealt in fruit, particularly pears, and that is still their main business; but like most other businesses they have diversified into several other things.

We took a tour of the facility and it was very interesting. They were packing baskets and boxes for mail order delivery for Christmas. This is their busiest time of the year. I took several pictures inside and I will try to get them to load onto the blog, too. They also make chocolates, chocolate covered popcorn and nuts, and cookies. After the tour, we all got a little box with a chocolate truffle and 2 cookies in it. UMMumm good!!

I really liked the tour. I thought it was very interesting, especially where they make the candies. :O) Yummo! That was Jacob's favorite part for sure!

I hear you with your troubles downloading pics. I have been having the same problem on my blog. I have found the program Firefox helps a lot. You can download it for free online and it makes things a lot easier.

Beautiful pics, love fall pics!
