Portland Oregon airport

Chris told us that this Good Dog/ Bad Dog place in Portland was a great place for hot dogs and such. We did enjoy it! Ron had a chili dog [big surpise !?!, his favorite] and I had a polish sausage with sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard[I almost got TOO much mustard!].
These mobiles are hanging in the airport where all of the different concourses converge. They were moving slowly in the air currents and seem to represent the many facets of life in Oregon. I thought they were very interesting.[You can see more of the detail if you click on the picture and make it bigger.]
Another thing I found interesting...Oregonians are very ecology/green minded. So, in the restrooms were instructions for flushing: Pull up on the handle for 'liquid waste/#1' and push down on the handle for 'solid waste/#2'. Apparently there is a different amount of water used for each 'option'.

We flew from KC to Dallas, Dallas to Portland, and Portland to Medford and our luggage arrived with us! On the way back we flew Medford-Portland, Portland-Chicago, Chicago to KC. and our luggage arrived with us! Went through Chicago because that flight put us into KC earlier than through Dallas, and Ron had to go to work the next day! :0(

I'm glad you got your luggage! The toilet is hilarious.

And, if I never have to fly through Chicago again it will be too soon (that airport's a mess)!

I wonder what happens if you fib and pull the handle the wrong way ;)

That is interesting. The toilets in OR. Hmmm, who comes up with this stuff?

We have flown through/changed planes in Chicago a few times and I am always thankful Gary is with me, I have VERY poor navigating skills...:-)
